In December 2024, Alan Charity organized a heartwarming outreach program for widows in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State. This initiative was thoughtfully planned during the festive season to ensure that these incredible women had the resources to celebrate and enjoy the holidays with their families.
During the event, we were able to support 30 widows, providing them with foodstuffs and financial assistance. Each beneficiary received essential items, including rice, beans, oil, and other staples, alongside monetary aid to address their immediate needs.
What made this event truly impactful were the personal stories shared by the widows. Many spoke candidly about the challenges they face daily, from raising children on their own to battling financial hardships and societal pressures. Their resilience and strength moved us deeply and reinforced the importance of community support.
This outreach was not just about meeting physical needs but also about showing these women that they are seen, valued, and supported. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to making this event a success, from our donors to the volunteers who dedicated their time and resources.
