We firmly believe that good health is the ultimate form of wealth. Unfortunately, numerous individuals grapple with health issues, often exacerbated by financial limitations. This conviction prompted us to take a proactive step by visiting the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, a prominent healthcare facility in the South West region of Nigeria.
During our visit, we not only offered words of encouragement to numerous patients, urging them to persevere in their health battles, but we also undertook the responsibility of settling the bills for many individuals who, despite being discharged, were unable to leave the hospital premises due to outstanding financial obligations. Among the many poignant stories we encountered, one that stands out is that of a woman who recently gave birth to twins. Regrettably, she found herself unable to settle her bills and had no family nearby to turn to for assistance, preventing her from leaving the hospital.
The outreach proved to be a resounding success, a testament to the power of experience that transcends words. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the dedicated volunteers who, with unwavering compassion, joined us on this outreach.
